Your first day begins by departing for your Great Rift Valley safari. You will stop at the escarpment view point to have a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley and marvel at the works of its volcanic activities. You will then drive down to Lake Nakuru National Park, regarded by avid birders' as the greatest world ornithological spectacle on earth.
The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos lining on the lake shore is also a sanctuary to the black rhino, white rhino, and the Rothschild giraffe. The bird life here includes common species like the greater flamingos, African fish eagle, tawny eagle, green wood hoopoes, mocking cliff chat, and the great white and pink-backed pelicans.
Lunch is served en-route as you proceed for an afternoon game drive in this park that has a dense population of other wildlife before returning back to the campsite for dinner. The meal plan includes lunch and dinner.
You will depart for Lake Nakuru after breakfast and proceed south to the spectacular Lake Bogoria where the hot springs and the geysers are the main attractions. The hot springs are even hot enough to boil an egg. The lake has been called the “new home of the flamingo” with a nomad population of up to two million birds that migrate from Lake Nakuru Park, making it one of the major attractions.
Lunch is served at the Lake Bogoria Spa Resort and later an afternoon game drive in the reserve as you depart the resort. After the game drive, you will head back to your campsite near Lake Naivasha, arriving in the early evening. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You will get plenty of opportunities to finally spot amazing big five, or from June to September, you can witness the miracle of nature - wildebeest migration. You will then depart from Lake Nakuru after breakfast and travel on the floor of Rift Valley and head to Maasai Mara, the home to the great new eighth wonder of the world.
You will arrive in time for lunch at the campsite followed by a short rest and later explore the reserve on a late evening game drive. An early evening dinner will be arranged under the African bushes and skies. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Have fun with a full day in Maasai Mara! It's also a great timing for a balloon safari but with additional cost. After breakfast, you can have optional activities to choose from like visiting the local Maasai Village or taking a guided nature walk near your lodge or camp for some additional fee. After lunch, you will enjoy another afternoon game drive in this vast reserve. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Depending on your safari program, you will start your day with a complete English breakfast at the camp and depart from Maasai Mara arriving back at Nairobi in time for lunch. You will have a farewell lunch in a Nairobi restaurant for to sample a variety of Kenyan cuisines. A transfer to the airport for your flight home can be arranged at additional cost.
